Deformities in the shape of the ears, which is often seen during infancy, are predominantly due to genetic factors. The upper part, middle, or entire ear may be affected. Especially during primary and adolescent periods, this condition can lead to serious problems. The resulting psychological trauma negatively impacts academic success and the individual's socialization. The most accurate way to prevent these issues is to address the problem as soon as possible.

The classical technique for otoplasty surgery is performed under local anesthesia (only regional numbing). The only exceptions are patients with a young age and those who believe they cannot tolerate local anesthesia. Apart from these, the procedure can comfortably be done under local anesthesia. Local anesthesia is applied behind the ear during the surgery.

An incision is made behind the ear during the surgery. The cartilage is visually shaped, ensuring they remain in the correct aesthetic position with high-quality suture materials. Thanks to refined and various techniques applied during ear pinning surgery, the folds of the ear attain a natural shape of excellence. The incision behind the ear is closed in an aesthetic concealed stitching manner using self-dissolving suture materials. Therefore, there is no need to remove stitches after the surgery.

To protect children from potential psychological traumas, it is recommended to perform this surgery before starting school. Ear pinning surgery is possible from the age of 5 onwards.
